Give your little black dress a rest, and get your blue on! Blue, especially in rich royal, navy, and cerulean hues, can be just as sophisticated as black, but a little less, well, black. For example, picture a pretty silk shantung sapphire party frock – all you need is minimal jewelry (if that even, maybe just some sparkly earrings) and a pair of pumps or strappy heels. Think suede for evening, in a black, gray, or nude hue (or if you really want to add a pop of color, try red, yellow, magenta, or turquoise/teal), and you’re cocktail party-set to look smashing (blue-tiful, if you will) and cure your little black dress blues.
