The Bandeau: Jump on the Bandwagon

The bandeau can be a tricky, but fun piece to work with. Most of us don't want to look half naked or like we've just walked off the beach in our day to day lives, but no worries, there are more options for the bandeau than what you've seen on the runways! Wear a nude colored one under a semi sheer top or slouchy sweater, or try it under a linen button down for an easy summer look. Take a more bold bandeau (in a print, a bright color) and wear it under a low-cut dress (that could even have low-cut arm holes), so that the bandeau can peak out from the dress, adding an unexpected fun detail, yet providing a little more coverage. You could even try wearing one under a pair of overalls! Bored with a plain tee, tank, or cami you have? Try wearing a pretty printed bandeau over the top and see how it works for you. Add a casual structured jacket or a sweater to complete the look. Want just a little more support when sleeping or hanging out in pajamas without the complete structure or stiffness of boning? Try wearing a silky, lacey, or stretchy spandex bandeau under your pj's. Some bandeaus come with optional straps, padding, and boning for a more supportive fit.
