Lacey-Faire: Let it be on Your Clothes and Hang Free in Your Wardrobe

Such a classic feminine detail that is no longer reserved just for your undergarments and your wedding dress, lace is more and more now on the outside looking in. The keys to lace looking 2011 are the fresh cuts and modern lines and silhouettes we’re seeing lace applied to and even used as parts of the structural bases for pieces, like sheer lace tops and all over lace dresses. When wearing something lacey, it’s best to let that be the only lacey piece you have on at the time, and the focal point of your look. Keep the rest of your outfit quiet so that the delicately soft voice of the lace can be rightfully heard. However, some lacey designs aren’t as quiet as others. A dramatic lace dress in a bold or dark hue like red, royal blue, or black, speaks up and has no trouble making a statement, so keep the rest of the look simple and refined. Some lace tees and dresses too sheer (most already come with a solid underlay though) to wear out? Simply slip on a nude cami or slip underneath.
